Zagora is located on the Drâa River about 165 km south-east of Ouarzazate at an altitude of about 725 m. Zagora is an oasis town and gateway to the Sahara; once it was an important base for the camel caravans to Timbuktu. Today Zagora has national air connections to Casablanca and Marrakech and is a starting point for our desert tours and desert treks to Erg Chigaga.
