We will cross through the High Atlas mountains passing Tizi-n-Tichka (2,260 m), known for its breathtaking views. This pass is dotted with ancient oak woods, walnut groves, traditional Berber villages and picturesque valley pastures complete with free roaming goat and sheep herds. After crossing the High Atlas pass, we move down into the desert landscape of the Lesser Atlas range and reach Tazenakth and Foum Zguid. We continue on our decent along the old Paris-Dakar Rally track which leads to the dried up salt lake of Iriki and the dunes of Erg Chigaga. This amazing series of golden desert dunes stretches for 40 km reaching a maximum height of 300 metres. Our Sahara Feeling camp is nestled within these timeless sand dunes. Here you will bask the sunset from the saddle of a dromedary while they effortlessly move throughout the dunes. The evening will be spent in camp enjoying first class Sahrawi hospitality. Complete with the traditional mint tea ritual, nomadic dinner and music topped off with a bonfire under the open sky.

After breakfast in the camp we set off once again. This time our rout will take us through the lush Draa Valley, famous for its ability to go 18 varieties of dates. From her we set into the mountains again with Ait Benhaddou in our sites. This fortified village or kasbah was first recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1987. Hollywood has also recognized Ait Benhaddou in it own way filming dozens of movies here including The Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Marco polo (1982) and The Mummy to name a few. Once the village tour is complete we will set off for Marrakech, arriving in the evening.
